YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy will launch his ‘Praja Sankalpa’ soon.
The leader of opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly will kick off pad yatra (foot march) on November 6. This initiative is “to reach out to the unreachable and interact with over two crore people” of the state.
“YS Jaganmohan Reddy will appeal to build a better Andhra Pradesh where development is on the back seat due to the misplacement of priorities of Chandrababu Naidu government.”. YSR Congress senior leaders Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and Ummareddy Venkateswarlu announce today.
The foot march will phenomenon in 125 assembly segments highlighting the “failures” of the Chandrababu Naidu government. Also stressing the need for Special Category Status (SCS) to the state, they told reporters after the extended executive meeting of the party, chaired by Jagan.
With the CBI special court in Hyderabad rejecting Mr YS Jagan’s plea for an exemption from personal appearance in the ongoing trial in various disproportionate assets cases, the YSR Congress chief will take a break every Friday and resume the foot march the next day.
YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s entire march will comprise of two segments.
While the foot march will be ongoing for 180 days covering 3000 km, the remaining will be on automobile. 50 Assembly segments coverage will be subsequently through a bus yatra, the senior leaders confirm.
