After staging a revolutionary change in cellular telecommunications in India recently, Reliance Jio has more good news.
Reliance Jio made a trending and trusted name in the market after its sensational debut. Making 4G connectivity affordable for the common masses Jio has made a solid base in the market. Other carriers and service providers are facing serious setbacks due to Jio’s success.
Reliance Jio’s 4GVoice app now has video calling support. The recent upgrade will bring joy to its users. In addition to the video call feature, persistent incoming call notifications will be a part of the new upgrade for VoLTE phones.
Just a reminder, phones supporting Jio SIM only can make calls via the app. Meanwhile, nothing has changed about that.
Jio 4GVoice app uses Jio without VoLTE capable phone, sends text messages and even makes calls via JioFi 4G hotspot on Android. The new video calling support feature is available with iOS 1.6 version. While the previous version didn’t support video calls, the version updated to Jio 4GVoice now enables VoLTE phones to make video calls through the app. Subsequently, video calling icon also adds up next to the voice calling button for all the contacts.
IOS apps still aren’t functional for JioFi devices. The end-user should also have Jio4GVoice app installed on their phone along with a working Jio SIM for video calls. The latest update features persistent incoming call notifications. This feature is responsible for the audio clarity and quality. Many subscribers have often complained about it so Jio has made an attempt to set things right.
The new looking application promises to be hassle-free. It also allows the user to share locations and images while on a video call. The efficiency and clarity are promising, but the reviews will make sense once used by common masses.
Have you tried the new Jio app?
