The teaser that is sure to get Mohanlal fans thumping and pumping with joy. Combine it with the actor’s huge hoarding, fans in a frenzy to catch his film at the theatre.  Plus, there’s the lady superstar Manju Warrier singing Mohanlal’s iconic Tonykuttan song! Who on earth came up with such a combination?

Malayalam actor Manju Warrier on Monday shared a teaser for her upcoming film Mohanlal. In the 45-second teaser captures the craziness of the die-hard fans and his legacy.

Manju’s character in the film is Meenukutty, who is a huge fan of actor Mohanlal. In the teaser, Manju is portraying a lip-syncing to a dialogue by actor Jagathy in the film Kottayam Kunjachan, where he is telling an audience that actor Mohanlal would arrive soon.

Well, if you are considering the surprise is over, then you’re absolutely wrong.

Manju goes on to sing the song Tonykutta, which is a popular song that Mohanlal sang in his super hit film No.20 Madras Mail. A fitting tribute to the superstar.

A few weeks ago, the makers of the film sent a trailer public. It let us have a peek into how superstar had been an integral part of the character’s life since childhood. The movie revolves around Meenukutty, upon whom Mohanlal’s onscreen persona is deeply influential.

The film also has actor Indrajith playing an important role. The rest of the cast includes Salim Kumar, Aju Varghese, Hareesh Kanaran, Soubin Shahir, Siddique, KPAC Lalitha and other familiar faces.

Sajid Yahiya is the pen behind the scripts and mastermind of the flick. The film is ready to release for Vishu this year.

Like Manju said in the trailer for the film, the audience is “katta waiting” for the film to hit the theatres!
