Hardik Pandya Too Falls Prey To Ambedkar’s Reservation Policy: Booked For Outrageous Tweet

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya lands himself in trouble after an outrageous and insulting tweet against Dr. BR Ambedkar. Rajasthan police file an FIR.

“Which Ambedkar ??? The one who drafted a cross law and constitution or the one who spread the disease called reservation in the country.” A Tweet that proves to be too costly for Hardik Pandya.

The Indian all-rounder has found himself in a deep soup after the controversial Ambedkar tweet. A special S.C./S.T. Court on Wednesday directed Rajasthan police to register an F.I.R. Against Hardik Pandya for his alleged comment on Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. According to petitioner D.R. Meghwal, Pandya, on December 26, 2017, posted a comment on his twitter account, which insulted Ambedkar and hurt the sentiments of the people of his community.

The petition came under the SC-ST Act. D.R. Meghwal is an advocate and a member of the Rashtriya Bhim Sena in the Jalore district of Rajasthan.

Meghwal stated in his complaint that by making this comment, a popular cricketer like Pandya has not only attempted to insult and disregard the constitution and the architect of the constitution deliberately but has also hurt the sentiments of the community he belongs to.

“I learned about Pandya’s comment through social media in January. It surely appeared quite derogatory for a figure like Ambedkar and was an attempt to spread hatred and create division in the society”. Said Meghwal.  “By doing so, he has committed a serious crime and hurt the sentiments of my entire community,” Meghwal said, adding that Pandya should be given adequate and suitable punishment for his “crass act”.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya is gearing up to play for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming I.P.L. 2018 for a consecutive series. His retention in the squad was for a whopping Rs. 11 Crores.
